The Dardos

Some serious off road vehicles not doing anything that is particularly off-road-y, cowboy hats and some ‘single ladies’ dancing.

We first met with Josh and Jess for chips and drinks at Collaroy before setting out to the beach and cliffs for their engagement shoot. Their energy, their light and their genuine hearts made for such a fun and enjoyable time.. and made us all the more excited for their upcoming wedding.

Their wedding reception was held at Belgenny Farm, the same venue we had our wedding reception at in 2016. It was the first time we’d been back, and it was amazing having the lay of the land (and the memories!) to create some beautiful memories for Josh and Jess. The light during their entire day was insanely amazing. Gorgeous soft light coming in from behind the leafy trees around the property, hilarious bridal photos with Josh’s second love, his 4WD. We also took them away for some quiet moments before they danced into their reception.

Josh and Jess are blessed with amazing families, and the heartfelt speeches spoke to their love and relationship in the highest regard. I loved learning more about their relationship and how these high school sweethearts grew a love so strong and dependable across the years.

The night was danced away with hair-whips on the dance floor (courtesy of yours truly), cowboy hats and a bridal bouquet toss which ended up with Josh’s sister (we’re looking at you next, Georgia!). It was a magical day for Josh and Jess and they made sure that their family and friends were able to celebrate together in the loveliest of ways.
